Driving Our Community
Since 1980
What began as a small transportation service has grown into a city-wide lifeline for independence and inclusion.
The Lloydminster Handivan Society, now known as Border City Connects, began in 1980. A group of community members sought to address transportation needs for people with mobility challenges. They received initial funding from the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation, and with community fundraising, were able to purchase their first wheelchair-accessible unit to provide independence for residents. The organization has since expanded its services and now operates under the name Border City Connects, providing various transportation services for seniors and people with disabilities in the Lloydminster area
