Connecting Community Christmas Breakfast
Honouring Community, Connection, and the Legacy of Glenn Fagnan
The Connecting Community Christmas Breakfast is an annual, invitation-only event hosted by Border City Connects. This meaningful gathering brings together community leaders, partners, and supporters to reflect on the spirit of giving and the importance of connection within our community.

Rooted in the timeless message of Nancy Gavin’s story “For the Man Who Hated Christmas,” and guided by the vision of the late Glenn Fagnan, the event honours the values of compassion, humility, and generosity. Through shared stories, quiet giving, and reflection, the breakfast serves as both a celebration of community and a tribute to Glenn’s enduring legacy of service and inclusion.

Honouring Community, Connection, and the Legacy of Glenn Fagnan
At the Connecting Community Christmas Breakfast, guests receive a plain white envelope at their table. Inside is a quiet opportunity — not a public fundraiser, but a moment for private giving. Guests may choose to contribute to one of the funds that support Border City Connects, including:

-
Our Greatest Needs Fund, which sustains daily operations and transportation services, and
-
The Glenn Fagnan Legacy Fund, established in Glenn’s memory to continue his lifelong work of building an inclusive, accessible community.

The White Envelope represents the very heart of this event: simple, personal generosity that changes lives without the need for recognition.
